Return on Investment

Looking to increase your curb appeal and, in turn, your home’s resale value? A 2019 study by Remodeling magazine found that replacing the garage door gives homeowners more return on investment (ROI) than any other home remodeling project. The survey calculated the average cost versus value for 22 home remodeling projects in 136 U.S. markets, revealing that the cost for an upscale garage door replacement was $3,611 and the estimated value at resale was $3,520, a 97.5% ROI! This was the second consecutive year the survey found the garage door to be the highest ROI project in the home. While down just slightly at 94.5 ROI, garage door replacement in 2020 is projected to hold onto its ranking of best home improvement project for Return on Investment.
